Application privacy policy

1. Data controller

2. Academic data stored on the device

Information entered by the teacher —such as classes, student names and photographs, grades, attendance, notes, contacts, classroom journal entries, planning, schedules, documents, and reports— is stored locally on the device. The academic database is encrypted and Android generic backup is disabled.

Quantum Leap Innovations, LLC. does not receive or store this academic database on its own servers. Teachers control the information they enter and must comply with the rules of their school or public authority and with the law applicable to student data.

3. Data that application services may process

The application may process technical information needed to operate, protect access, manage purchases, diagnose errors, and understand overall performance. Depending on the feature used, this may include app and operating-system versions, device model or characteristics, technical installation or account identifiers, crash logs, diagnostics, and interaction data. The application excludes collection of Google advertising identifiers.

The application allows users to create an account. Associated authentication and administration data —such as an email address, user identifier, and technical sign-in metadata— may be processed through Google Firebase services. Passwords are not available to the developer in readable form.

When a user requests support, the email address, request content, and any files or anonymized support copies the user voluntarily sends are processed to answer that request.

4. Backups and cloud services

Local backups are created in the location selected by the user. If the user enables backup to Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive, the file is transferred to the account authorized by that user and is governed by the selected provider’s terms and privacy policy. Quantum Leap Innovations, LLC. does not host these backups on its own academic servers.

Physical attachment files are managed separately and are not currently included in the database backup. Users should verify and retain the backups and files they need before changing devices, deleting data, or uninstalling the application.

5. Google Sheets and other online imports

When a user imports data directly from Google Sheets, the application requests the authorization needed to access the selected content. Access is used to display, review, and import the information chosen by the user. Imports from local files do not require this service.

6. Optional artificial-intelligence features

Generative features run only when requested by the teacher and require an Internet connection. The user chooses among compatible external providers, such as OpenAI, Groq, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek, and configures their own access key. Data is sent from the device to the selected provider and is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.

To create a rubric draft, the app sends the description supplied by the teacher, the number of criteria, and the configured scoring levels. This feature does not need or include student data.

For individualized AI-generated student reports, the student’s first and last name are replaced with a placeholder before transmission and restored locally in the result. Depending on the options selected, grades, averages, attendance, comments, student-profile notes, or related classroom-journal entries may be transmitted.

Automatic replacement applies to the name of the student who is the subject of the report. Free-text fields may contain names or other personal data about third parties that the application cannot detect. Teachers must review the content before sending it. Generated output is an editable draft and is not automatically sent to families or other third parties.

7. Purchases and Premium access

Purchases, subscriptions, restorations, and access verification are processed through Google Play and RevenueCat. These services may process technical identifiers, purchased product, purchase status, date, country or currency, and information needed to validate access. Quantum Leap Innovations, LLC. does not receive complete card or payment-method details managed by Google Play.

8. Analytics, diagnostics, and Firebase

The application may use Google Firebase services for authentication, technical configuration, usage measurement, stability, crash diagnostics, and functions needed to provide the service. The Google Play listing declares possible collection of app information and performance data and device or other identifiers.

This information does not include the content of the local academic database. It is used to maintain the application, detect errors, prevent abuse, verify operation, and improve product workflows. Telemetry failures do not prevent use of local academic features.

9. Device permissions

Permissions are requested under Android rules and can be managed in device settings. Denying a permission may prevent only the features that require it.

• Photos, camera, media, and files: to assign images, attach documents, export reports, and manage backups selected by the user.
• Internet and network status: for cloud backups, Google Sheets, AI, purchases, authentication, support, and other online services.
• Notifications: for local planner reminders and functional notices authorized by the user.

10. Purposes and legal grounds

Depending on the data, feature, and applicable jurisdiction, processing may rely on performance of the requested service, the user’s consent or choice, legitimate interests in security and improvement, and compliance with legal obligations. Optional external features are activated only when the user chooses to use them.

• Provide requested features, maintain the account, and validate access to purchased functionality.
• Protect the application, prevent fraud or abuse, and resolve incidents.
• Measure performance and stability to maintain and improve the product.
• Meet legal obligations and respond to privacy requests.

11. Providers, disclosures, and international transfers

Providers may include Google —including Android, Google Play, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Firebase—, RevenueCat, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, and the AI provider selected by the user. Each provider processes the information needed for its service under its own terms and safeguards.

Personal and academic data is not sold. Information may be disclosed when needed to provide a requested feature, comply with a legal obligation, respond to a competent authority, or protect rights and safety. Some providers may process data outside the user’s country under the transfer mechanisms required by applicable law.

12. Retention and deletion

Local academic data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears the application’s data, or uninstalls the app. Backups held by external services remain under the user’s account until deleted using the provider’s tools.

Account, purchase, support, security, analytics, or diagnostic data is retained for as long as needed to provide the feature, maintain required records, resolve incidents, or meet legal obligations, after which the deletion or anonymization periods configured for each service apply.

13. Rights and deletion requests

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability and may withdraw consent by writing to quantumleapinnovations@cuadernodelprofesor.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the relevant account or data.

You can start account deletion directly in the application by opening Menu → General settings → Delete my account and completing the confirmation shown on screen. If you cannot access the application, you may request assistance through the privacy email address above.

A request sent to the developer does not automatically remove information stored locally or backups held in your cloud accounts; you must manage those through the device or relevant provider. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority competent for your place of residence.

14. Security and teacher responsibility

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, including local encryption of the academic database and encrypted communications with external services. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their device, keep Android and the app updated, use access protection where appropriate, and safeguard backups and external-provider keys.

The application is intended for teachers’ professional work; it is not designed for students to create accounts or directly use the service. The teacher or their organization decides what academic information to enter and must have the authority required to process it.

15. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the application, its providers, or applicable obligations change. The version published at this address will be the current version and will state its update date.
